The St. Austell Golf Club’s western edges are separated from the village by Tregongeeves Lane, a narrow typically Cornish lane lined with tall hedgerows where one hope not to meet a car travelling in the opposite direction.
Just south of the village is the Polgooth Inn, a historic pub serving real Cornish ales, good food and with live music on Sundays.
The coast is about four miles away from Trelowth, either through the village of London Apprentice or the southern edges of St. Austell. This is a pretty part of Cornwall, close to many visitor attractions, the most famous of which is the Eden Project – a garden exhibiting plants from around the world. This is situated on the north side of St. Austell. Heligan Gardens are equally close.
Very short drives from Trelowth lead to beautiful rural and coastal areas. Lots of small Cornish villages such as St. Mewan and Sticker offer places to explore and walk with an inn for a meal afterwards. Quant Mevagissey is a 15 minute drive. Even Newquay on the Atlantic coast is just 30 minutes drive away.
