Self catering holiday cottages in Pentewan, Cornwall, England
What Pentewan offers for Self-Catering Breaks
A holiday park and caravan site in Pentewan adds to the number of people using the beach. Good beaches are inevitably popular. Dogs are excluded during the summer months although there are other beaches in Cornwall where dogs are permitted all year round. Dog owners may be interested in taking a look at cottages in Cornwall where dogs are welcome. The cottage owners will be able to advise about dog friendly beaches nearby.
The big attraction of the Lost Gardens of Heligan is just outside the village. A local cycle hire shop could provide you with bicycles for a quiet cycle round the area or on the dedicated traffic free Pentewan Cycle Trail from Pentewan to London Apprentice. For walkers there is the south west coastal path that is worth walking part of for the wonderful sea views.
There are lovely places to visit south of Pentewan on a self catering break; the villages of Portmellon, Gorran Haven and further south, the Roseland Peninsula. Visitor attractions within easy driving distance include the historic Charlestown harbour, China Clay Country Park and Museum in Ruddle, the World of Model railways in Mevagissey, and the fabulous Eden Project, with its incredible biospheres and tropical plants.
All in all, Pentewan and Mevagissey are excellent for family self catering because of the good beach, number of places to visit and watersports available.
Book a Pentewan cottage and look forward to discovering some of the best of Cornwall on holiday.
