The coastal village of St. Agnes is a pretty village to visit. There are a couple of car parks near the beach fairly close to each other. There is a steep incline downhill to the water, passing the RNLI shop and office. St Agnes does not have a suitable beach for families with young children, there are other beaches near St Agnes such as Trevaunance Cove 2 miles north and Chapel Porth, both sandy beaches but again best suited to surfing. There are many other family friendly sandy beaches a little further along the north Cornwall coast such as Perranporth and Crantock. There are sandy beaches at Porthtowan and a small sandy sheltered cove. Visit the old copper mining village of Mount Hawke a few km away. Mount Hawke, St Agnes and Porthtowan form the so called 'Golden Triangle'. A very nice spot for a self catering cottage holiday in Cornwall.
