Langford is a small hamlet 2 miles out of Maldon on the B1018 from Heybridge Basin and marina. Heybridge Basin is a popular spot to visit because of its picturesque canals and long boats. Walkers, day trippers and motorcyclists converge on Heybridge to walk the canal tow paths and enjoy lunch at the pubs.

Drive 20 minutes to South Woodham Ferrers for an open farm and small zoo, or go north to Colchester for one of the best zoos in the country and hands-on castle experience.
