Find self-catering accommodation to rent in the Peak District for a week's holiday or short break. Short breaks are generally available in low season only except in the case of cancellations, so it's always worth asking. Holiday cottages can be rented in the Peak District all year round. People come not only to walk but for the various festivals and events. Christmas and New Year are strangely enough popular times, partly because a great effort is made to dress cottages, pubs and shops in Christmas finery and lights. It really is a lovely time for an impromptu break in Derbyshire's dales.
