9 Bedroom 5 Bathroom Holiday Rental with Games Room and Large Paddock near Belper and the Peak District National Park

Enjoy a group holiday staying in this historic 19th century holiday home set in a rural setting, yet close to Belper and the Peak District National Park. Whether you want to relax inside under the vaulted ceilings and the authentic interior of this grade II listed building, or explore the nearby mill town of Belper, set into beautiful Derwent valley, Turpins Cottage will be a memorable location for your holiday.

Don’t forget to enjoy the 2 acre paddock, sundeck and play field on a sunny day, there’s even access to a trout stream where guests can fish (children must be properly supervised at all times)! Well behaved dogs are welcome. 

 

Inside this Sleeps 20 Cottage with Games Room and Large Paddock near the Peak District

On the ground floor is the large dining room, offering places for everyone to sit and enjoy a meal. This room has lovely lighting from the grand windows across the table. The kitchen makes good use of its space, with 2 fridge freezers and microwaves among much else, making this a convenient space for preparing your own nostalgic meals. And, with two lounges to relax in, each complete with sumptuous furnishings and a TV to watch, you’ll be content to stay around the cottage all day if you so wish! Don’t forget to also enjoy the games room, kitted out with board games and a pool table.

The bedrooms are ideal for a dreamy night sleep in carefully designed interiors and quality bed sheets.

Watch the light through the trees – there’s space for everyone out on the sundeck, so it will certainly be a lovely way to spend an evening! Or explore the play paddock, where you can walk amongst the countryside and natural scenes.

For day trips out, there’s plenty to enjoy beyond the property. Explore the nearby town of Belper, a charming market town in the Derwent Valleys. The unique high street is well worth a visit, and there’s plenty of artisan cafes and delightful local venues to visit as you explore. It even has beautiful formal river gardens and summer Sunday brass bands!
