Fenny Bentley is an attractive village in Derbyshire, 2 miles from Ashbourne. The pub and church remain the heart of the village. The Coach & Horses is a welcoming inn with real ales, and the church retains some interesting old features. Ashbourne was once a social centre in the 18th Century, and retains some fine Georgian buildings and a selection of restaurants and interesting shops. The Dove and Manifold Valleys are close by with excellent walking and cycling opportunities, whilst Alton Towers is just a short drive away.
