5 star Peak District holiday cottage with top notch facilities. Anyone for croquet?
The Cottage at Ladyhole House is an Edwardian Bothy luxuriously converted in 1995. It is set at the top of a sweeping drive lined with mature chestnut trees and a carpet of daffodils in the Spring. It is set in mature gardens and grounds with many beautiful trees and a walled garden. Guests are very welcome to enjoy all that the gardens offer including a tennis court, croquet and barbecue. There are also stables and grazing near to the house. Quiet countryside surrounds the house, where it is possible to walk and cycle. Ashbourne the local market town is only two miles away.
Country cottage near Ashbourne, furnished for pleasure and comfort
The cottage has been granted a 5 star rating from the English Tourist Board. It sleeps 6 -7 people in comfort and is decorated to a high standard with many personal pictures and nice furnishings.
The accommodation comprises, upstairs 1 large double or twinbedded room which can take a put up bed. Next door is a good sized bathroom and airing cupboard. A further twin bedded room with en suite shower room completes the upstairs.
Downstairs in the cottage is a twin bedded room with lavatory and basin opposite. The kitchen with breakfast table and Rayburn, has a utitlity room adjacent. This leads through to a sitting room with large conservatory leading off. A further dining table is situated in the conservatory which also opens out onto the gardens.
Cottage with facilities for disabled people who may need a stairlift and ramps
There are limited facilities for the disabled with ramps and a Stannah stairlift. The conservatory provides a pleasant bright place to sit for eledely people who may accompany the family and might occasionally prefer to sit and watch the family at play. This is definitely a mulit-generation self-catering property.
Access to the southern reaches of the Peak District
Stay in this peaceful location just south of the national park, sleep well at night. Ashbourne offers plenty of shops and restaurants for people self-catering on holiday.
Enjoy good days out to the southern part of the Peak District. Visit pretty villages such as Hartington and the stunning views of Dovedale.
