Step inside the simple beauty of a sitting room that has pictures of Buddha on the wall, a large storage cupboard with a mirror and a sleek minimalistic coffee table set in front of an elegant buttoned chaise longue.A spacious second sitting room has French doors that open out onto the balcony with views over the river. This divine room is open plan; comfortable sofas and a television stand at one end, a dining table stands towards the back and a kitchen is nicely fitted at the end. The minimalist theme is continued into the kitchen which has sleek white gloss units, built in quality appliances and plenty of worktops with under lighting.
The 3 bedrooms:
- The master bedroom on the ground floor is very nicely decorated in pale shades of grey with accents of royal blue and gold. Large picture windows look out over the river. The bed is king-size and has a sumptuous padded headboard. Glasses, mugs and a kettle stand on a sideboard beside the wall where there is also a comfortable sofa. This bedroom has the benefit of its own shower room. Open the wide doors to go out onto the decking where you will find a table and benches.
- The second bedroom is a double and contains a hanging rail with a mirror for your holiday clothing.
- The third bedroom is also a double, rather more compact but nicely decorated in cool shades of white and grey. A family bathroom has a shower cubicle and the usual wash basin and WC.
There is ample space for two cars on the driveway in front of the property and also an electric charging point.
As one would expect in a property of this quality, there is Wi-Fi broadband Internet, and a washing machine and dishwasher.

The house stands at Shotley Gate overlooking the water. HMS Ganges Museum is close by. The area is mainly residential, apart from a couple of cafes beside the pier. A holiday at Shotley Gate would be convenient for exploring Ipswich, Harwich and the Suffolk coast. A short drive away is the Dedham Vale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, alternatively known as Constable Country. Explore the landscapes that the painter Constable immortalised in his art, discover the pretty villages including Constable’s birthplace at East Bergholt.
