The village of Gargrave sits on the south western edge of the Yorkshire Dales, on the A65 between Skipton and Coniston Cold. The Pennine Way skirts the northern reaches of the village and the Springs Canal, on its way south. Because of the hundreds of walkers passing through, Gargrave has more than its fair share of tea rooms, restaurants and pubs for a village of its size. As one would expect from such a holiday hub in the Yorkshire Dales, there is a good selection of self-catering accommodation to rent for weeks at a time or short breaks. A lodge holiday park is located to the south west of Gargrave.
