It offers a higher degree of comfort than many holiday accommodations for two people. Up to 2 well behaved pet pooches are welcome by arrangement.

Inside this Dog-Friendly Couple’s Cottage in the Wye Valley

The open plan living area has a kitchen tucked away at one end and sitting area with 2 sofas and television at the other end and a dining table with four chairs sandwiched between. Rustic beams adorn the ceilings and complement the oak flooring.

The modern Shaker-style kitchen it is fitted with a dishwasher and an electric cooker. There is a small fridge with an ice box and all necessary utensils to allow you to cook almost as you would at home.  A double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers and wicker chair stand in the bedroom. Bedside lamps on tables at either side of the bed will be useful if you need to get up during the night and need a little light to navigate different surroundings. Bathing facilities consist of a shower room with a walk-in shower, hand wash basin, WC.

Outside, there are small gardens to the front and back of the property, both laid to lawn with shrub borders. A patio at the back of the holiday house is equipped with garden furniture and a barbecue for your pleasure. This property welcomes guests with two well behaved dogs and dog bowls and towels all provided unless you prefer to bring your own. Although the property is all on one level once inside, please note that several steps lead up to the house which could cause difficulties for anyone with mobility problems.

One advantage of this property is that breakfast can be ordered at an additional cost, although most self-caterers would be quite happy to provide their own. People holidaying in the Wye Valley are likely to be going to be out and about all day long and probably eating at one of the eateries they come across during the day. However, the cooking facilities are there should you wish to prepare a banquet, or just a snack. A barbecue is another option that is always enjoyable on a sunny day.

The Wye Valley is incredibly scenic and very good for gentle walks, cycling or pony tracking. There are outdoor activities aplenty including canoeing on the rivet. Whitchurch lies 2 miles east of the Welsh border which offers numerous additional opportunities. This is your chance to visit Wales if you haven’t ever done so.  There are several things you might wish to see locally, visit the Whitchurch Heritage Centre, the Jubilee Park, watch cricket on a Sunday afternoon at the Cricket Club, or enjoy browsing the High Street with its various shops.
