The nearby beach at Whipsiderry is dramatic and stunning, if you decide to take the journey out to this beach you will be rewarded with wonderful views and will discover the cliffs that shelter this secluded beach (which has been voted as one of the top 20 in Europe by the Sunday Times). Alternatively, Porth beach is local and is regarded as one of the safest beaches for swimming in the area. The village of Porth itself is full of shops, cafes, pubs and eateries. Take a walk further down the coastline to the Watergate Bay and you will be able to enjoy the many watersports activities that await you there.

Newquay is perhaps the most well known and popular of nearby towns and villages, the area is home to a fantastic zoo and aquarium, as well as a great range of beaches, activities and eateries.  For those interested in enjoying a spot of fishing, the fishing village of Padstow is not too far from the area. The spectacular, and world famous, Eden Project is also within driving distance and is well worth a visit. With all of these locations and attractions accessible from Porth, Trevelgue acts as a top base from which to explore this fantastic part of Cornwall.
