The Ridgeway walking route criss-crosses through the Chiltern Hills and the National Trust’s Ashridge Estate near Aldbury is a popular place for woodland walks.
There are also fascinating National Trust sites to visit within an hour’s drive such as Waddesdon Manor and Stowe Landscape Gardens. Blenheim Palace with its extensive grounds and rich history is within an hour’s drive too, as is the historical city of Oxford.
London is a forty minute, direct train ride from Great Missenden and so you can enjoy the best of both worlds from Inglenook Cottage; the outstanding natural beauty of The Chiltern Hills close at hand, as well as quick and easy access to central London.
