Sleeps 5, 2 Bedroom Barn close to Wendover and Great Missenden

Inside this 2 bedroom barn conversion features extensive exposed beams and offers plenty of charm.  Outside the setting is pretty special too, with the property sitting within large gardens next to the fields and farmlands of Lower Bassibones Farm.

The Barn at Lower Bassibones Farm is four star rated and the accommodation comprises of:

A spacious open plan living area with lounge area and dining area that opens out to the patio where you can dine alfresco in summertime or sit out and enjoy views out to the garden.  There is also a well equipped kitchen with double oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and washing machine.   There are two comfortable bedrooms; a double bedroom with a king-size bed, a twin bedroom, an office and a luxury shower room with W.C. Underfloor central heating ensures comfortable temperatures during the colder months. A cot, high chair and baby gate are available for younger children and a temporary foldaway bed can be supplied for a fifth guest.

The sunny patio area to the front of the property is a great spot to enjoy a morning cup of coffee or to sit out in the evening with a glass of wine and watch the sunset.

Parking is available for three cars

Dogs can be accepted by prior arrangement and subject to certain conditions.

The Barn is situated at Lower Bassibones Farm at Lee Common village, near Great Missenden. The farm is in the heart of the Chiltern Hills, officially designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and surrounded by farmland and ancient beech woods with an extensive network of accessible footpaths and cycle routes. The village shop is half a mile from the farm and stocks a good variety of locally produced foods, bread, milk, newspapers, etc. The historic town of Great Missenden is less than 3 miles from the farm and offers comprehensive facilities: a variety of shops, bank, post office, surgeries, pubs, restaurants ,taxi services and a railway station with direct (40 minutes) services every 30 minutes to London Underground stations. There is also close access to the motorway network.

Local Attractions

Great Missenden is Roald Dahl's home village; visit the museum where he originally worked. It is an attractive village, one of several in the Chilterns. People visit to go walking in ancient beech woods, especially at the end of April when a carpet of bluebells appears under the trees.
