The front door opens up into a hall, where you can leave coats and shoes, and leads into the smart kitchen, of a spacious open-plan living space. Here you can happily produce tasty dishes to be served straight to the lovely dining area that is opposite. After dinner, the crockery and cutlery can be swiftly placed in the dishwasher before you move, for coffee or a glass of something special, to the seating area. Here a grey corner sofa and a light beige two seater have been sited, with great thought, to create a separate relaxation zone. A place to chat, watch TV or even catch up on your social media.Although there are two beautiful bedrooms upstairs, a sofa can be transformed into a bed if you require ground floor accommodation. The wet room on the ground floor has a chair and handrails to make it disabled-friendly too. The two upstairs bedrooms follow the same good style as the rest of the house, so guests can be sure of a restful night. There is one double bedroom and one twin (zip and link beds so can be prepared as a super-king size if required). They have use of a modern bathroom with bath and shower-over, basin and WC.
Outside is a beautifully maintained garden with large lawns and furniture (the garden is shared with the owner who lives next door). There is garden furniture, picnic benches and a charcoal BBQ so you can enjoy alfresco living and dining in summertime.
Corsham itself has many historic buildings worth visiting such as Corsham Court, Country house and beautiful Capability Brown designed park. For those keen to venture further there is the City of Bath with its spas that go back to Roman times, around half an hour’s drive away. The cottage is also ideally situated for visits to the Cotswolds AONB which is only a few miles away.
Due to the proximity of the A4 there is sometimes traffic noise that can be heard outside.
Parking is available for 2 cars. Property not suitable for children under ten. Babies up to 18 months welcome. Sorry, no pets or smoking. Fuel, power, linen & towels in rent. Good Housekeeping bond of £250.
