Little Gem is an aptly named two bedroom detached holiday cottage near the village of Marchington in Staffordshire. This holiday home has several features that would appeal to certain groups of holiday maker: all accommodation is on the ground floor,  there is an EV charging point for any guest with an electric car, a hot tub stands in the courtyard garden at the back, which is very nice for which is very nice after days out and there is also stabling for a horse which is ideal for people who like to take their horse on holiday.

This holiday home is an Immaculate barn conversion. It has been cleverly designed as an attractive and comfortable detached property for a self-catering break. The decor is a blend of neutral walls,  wood flooring, wooden skirting boards and doors. The whole effect is light, airy and fresh. Entrance is via a small gravel front garden, through the front door, that leads into the open plan living area. Here you will find a pleasantly furnished L-shaped room with sofas a television mounted on the wall, a log burner and a circular dining table with seating for four guests.

Leading off this room is a smart  kitchen that includes all essentials for meal preparation during your holiday. The cooker and electric hob are built in.

There are two bedrooms, the first of which is a king size bedroom which has two windows that make it very bright and attractive. This room has its own en-suite with a shower. The second bedroom is a double and also has an en-suite shower room. The larger bedroom is also fitted with a smart television which may lead to a coin being tossed to establish who gets that room.

Wooden seats stand in the small gravel garden to the front which has lovely views over the surrounding countryside. The hot tub is situated in the back garden. This garden is paved and surrounded by a fence for privacy. There is a small table and chairs here as well.

This holiday home would be fabulous for two couples who enjoy horse riding because there are stables close by. The location is not far from the A515 Rd which leads directly into the Peak District. There is parking at the property for up to four cars. A high chair and baby cot can be supplied on request. The property has broadband Wi-Fi for your pleasure.

Uttoxeter is the nearest large town for supermarkets and lots of amenities. Visitors would find plenty to do in the area as long as they have a car.  A day’s fishing is possible near Longford where there is a fishery.  The National Trust offers a property to visit at Sudbury Hall, plus there are a host of small villages to explore and plenty of walks in the countryside.

The rental rate is inclusive of heating. You will find that the property has under floor heating and that the wood burning stove offers a little warmth and entertainment should you want that. Beds are made up and towels are provided as they would be in hotel accommodation. This is a well presented and comfortable holiday home a few miles south of the Peak District with much potential.
