Charming 2 Bedroom Barn Conversion in South Devon AONB, very close to the Coast

The Bull House is a lovely place to enjoy a holiday away from everyday life, situated in the lovely coastal surroundings of Devon. With plenty of lovely areas inside the house, from a cosy lounge to the sunlit dining and kitchen area, The Bull house is a great place for up to 4 guests to relax in. And, with shared lawn space, a patio and a barbeque, it’s perfect to enjoy on a sunny evening as well.   The cottage is set within the scenic South Devon AONB and the nearest local beach is just over half a mile away!

2 dogs are welcome, so don’t forget to bring along your furry friends! 

 

Inside this Lovely Sleeps 4 Cottage in Coastal Devon

As you enter the cottage, you’re welcomed into the traditionally furnished sitting room, making wonderful use of the space and highlighting the gorgeous natural lighting and exposed wood beam ceilings. Relax on the comfy sofa and chair, enjoying a programme on the TV or reading a book. The dining area and kitchen is also a lovely space to relax in. Sit around the table while someone prepares lunch in the well-equipped kitchen – it’s a lovely, sociable space to cook with all the essential equipment you could need. 

When you’re ready for bed, upstairs are two lovely bedrooms perfect for catching up on sleep before a new day of holiday adventures. The double bedroom has a luxurious king sized four poster bed, as well as an ensuite shower room so you can roll out of bed and refresh yourself in the shower. The cosy twin bedroom is another lovely space, with comfy beds and an ensuite bathroom with a shower over the bath. Both are the ideal spaces to dream about all the excitement awaiting you on the rest of your holiday. 

Don’t forget to enjoy the terraced area with a picnic bench and the courtyard, a beautiful space to enjoy on a bright morning or a warm evening. Enjoy lunch or a chilled glass of wine in the evening or enjoy sitting on one of the quiet benches dotted around the communal lawns and green spaces of the farm.  There are ample shared grounds for guests to enjoy.  There’s plenty more to explore on site, from the shared table tennis table and the outdoor badminton to the wildlife pond and stunning nature reserve. There is even a play area for the under 10s in the orchard. For guests who enjoy playing badminton, there is an outdoor badminton net and rackets available in the summer months.  

There is a small unfenced dog exercise area, so this is a great place for holidaymakers with pets.

Ample parking is available in the private car park at Beeson Farm, and there is even room for boats and trailers too. There is an electric vehicle charging point too.

South Devon is a wonderful place to go on holiday, perfect for nature lovers who are looking to enjoy walks around the coast and flawless areas of beauty. Staying at The Bull House, you’re within walking distance from the stunning Beesands beach, a gorgeous beach with sublime blue waters and several little pubs and shops to explore. For another stunning area, North Hallsands is a natural wonder, untouched by others, and overlooking the mysterious “lost village”. If you’re into water sports, there are also plenty of opportunities around Devon for an adventure out on the tide. Or, if you’re more of a walker, take advantage of the coastal routes and paths, offering all kinds of chances to spot the wildlife and explore the area.

Kingsbridge

Kingsbridge is a traditional South Hams Market town located at the head of the beautiful Salcombe estuary which has been designated as a Marine Nature Reserve, site of special Scientific Interest and is also an area of outstanding natural beauty. The town is on a hill overlooking the estuary and has some very fine old buildings and offers a wide range of independent shops, galleries and eateries. There is a regular farmers market offering high quality locally sourced products. There are 2 supermarkets in the town and seasonal events such as Kingsbridge Food & Music Festival. Kingsbridge Fair week, Kingsbridge Celebrates Christmas. Kingsbridge is an ideal base for exploring the water, whether by Ferry (day trips to Salcombe), paddleboard (instruction available), or kayak. There is a ride on miniature railway alongside the estuary, which is a perfect little ride for children before stopping at the playground or for a spot of crabbing.
