This is one of a number of well-spaced out lodges with off-road parking, set in lovely tranquil countryside, each with its own fenced and lawned garden.

The layout of the lodge is open-plan, so easy to take care of while also creating a sociable atmosphere that can only enhance your stay. The well-equipped kitchen has a gas hob and oven which many cooks prefer. Close-by is a dining area, but you might prefer to eat alfresco on the lodge's private decking. Later, cuddle up together on the sofa to watch a late night film, before stepping into the walk-in shower for a cleansing wash.

After a strenuous hike or simply just to relax, take full advantage of the super hot tub outdoors. Lie back and relax whilst the massaging jets help you to relax and unwind. This lodge is perfect for two but can sleep up to 6.  Two can share the double in the cool mezzanine space up a ladder, and there is also a double pull-out bed in the open plan living space, and a sofa bed.

There is a multitude of places to visit from Hares Rest, at which to eat, shop, and explore.  The Royal West Showground at Builth Wells is one. If you are into books then Hay-on-Wye must be on your itinerary as part of your exploration of the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Everyone loves the scent of the sea so Cardigan Bay and the seaside at Aberystwyth will be a definite hit.
