Chaffeymoor Grange is a magnificent stone-built country house which dates back to the 17th century and has been lovingly refurbished to now provide ideal spacious accommodation in Dorset for house parties, family reunions, special celebrations, joint family holidays and weddings (the house is licensed for civil marriage and partnership ceremonies for up to 80 guests).
With contemporary furnishings and stylish decor blended with charming historical features such as stone mullioned windows, huge fireplaces and exposed beams this is a great place to stay. Downstairs, there is an oak-panelled drawing room with views out over the terrace and gardens, a fantastic dining room seating 24, a games room with pool table, morning room with French doors opening onto the terrace, a spacious kitchen which leads to the breakfast room, utility room and two cloakrooms. A central sound system is available in most of the reception rooms and hard-wired internet access is available throughout the property. Upstairs, there are 10 spacious bedrooms, all doubles or twins and nine bathrooms (mostly en-suite). The house accommodates 20 people comfortably, plus up to 4 additional children in z-beds and cots.
New for 2015 is our Coach House accommodation which can be rented in addition to the main house. Sleeping 2+2, it features a large double bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and living room with double sofa bed.
Outside, there are extensive grounds with mature gardens, a croquet lawn, tennis court and even a lake with its own island. All of this is set in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with ample opportunities to enjoy walking, cycling and sightseeing close by.
