The village of Caherdaniel is located on the Ring of Kerry in Kerry, Ireland Based on the beautiful south western side of the Iveragh Peninsula, across from the gorgeous Derrynane Bay, it is a stunning place for a rural retreat holiday. Lovers of the sea and beaches will adore the sandy shores of Derrynane Bay and its enclosed and picturesque harbour. The waters are also perfect for sports such as canoeing, surfing, diving and wakeboarding, so if you like to get active on holiday then visiting Caherdaniel is a great place to do so.

There are lots of other things to do in and around this peaceful village on a cottage break such as having a game of golf with a group of friends or going horse riding through the hills and winding lanes of Caherdaniel and its neighbouring villages. The Derrynane House and National Park is located in the next village of Castlecove and dates back to the late 18th century. This incredible Stone Fort is great for a day trip as there is a lot to see here. Another great piece of history is the stone fort of Caher, dating from an almost unbelievable 600BC. This stone fort lends its name to the village and can be seen on the walking trail of The Kerry Way.
