Information on Cottage Holidays in Annascaul

Walkers and hikers will be spoilt for choice with different scenic walks to take in Annascaul. One of the best routes has to be the Dingle Way which passes through the centre of the settlement. The Dingle Way stretches across the peninsula for over 100 miles, and so the whole trail is not usually covered in one go! It does pass through some jaw-dropping scenery however, from the old ship canal between Tralee and Blennerville to the cliffs overlooking the Atlantic Ocean at Slea Head and through many gorgeous settings of mountains, hills and charming villages. Walking part of the Dingle Way whilst enjoying a self-catering break is a great way to see this stunning part of Ireland and you can either soak up the views and create great memories or take some fantastic snaps to cherish forever.

Annascaul has several pubs which are friendly, welcoming and serve great food as well as refreshing beverages. There is also a restaurant, a couple of convenience stores selling everything you will need while visiting the village and plenty of choice when it comes to self-catering accommodation. There is also a brilliant sports centre for those who like to keep fit and active and of course, endless opportunities to go walking, trekking or horse riding.

Annascaul is close by to the sea and so the beaches provide lots of opportunities for water sports. Swimming, sailing and canoeing are just some of the activities on offer. The sea is particularly stunning in this part of Ireland as the Gulf Stream washes over the Atlantic Ocean, meaning that the sea water is very pure with clean beaches that are perfect for relaxing on. There is also a very mild climate in this area, making it an ideal place to spend a peaceful self-catering holiday in County Kerry.

Annascaul’s main draw is undoubtedly its beautiful scenery. It is simply unmatched and if you are planning on either renting a cottage here or just passing through on the Dingle Way, Annascaul’s charm will soon ooze through you and make you want to stay for longer. Choices of self-catering accommodation in this corner of Ireland include rural retreats cottages, log cabins and holiday chalets, to name just a few.

Book a Annascaul cottage and look forward to discovering some of the best of Kerry on holiday.
