With a spacious, comfortable high quality interior and plenty of space to relax in, you’ll feel right at home in no time at all at The Cowshed.   Sorry no pets allowed.

The Cowshed can even connect with The Byre, another gorgeous property, making it suitable for up to eight guests. Whatever your requirements, the Cowshed could be the place for you!

Step into the airy living room, beautifully designed to highlight the authentic wood beams on the ceiling to bring out the unique character of the Cowshed. The space is light and welcoming, with plenty of comfy furnishings you can snuggle up on and a TV to enjoy, so you can enjoy the latest episode of your favourite show. Or, bring along some DVDs and enjoy a movie night (essential for a relaxing holiday – don’t forget the popcorn!). 

Head towards the kitchen to enjoy a freshly cooked meal, and experiment with all the appliances and equipment that The Cowshed has on offer – there’s an electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, cooking equipment, crockery and glassware, so you’re free to cook up whatever you can dream of. Why not try out a new recipe together? It could become a new favourite!

The Cowshed is a flexible property – you can book just a twin bedroom, a quaint room with cosy beds and a lovely design, complete with ensuite facilities. Additionally, you can book a double bedroom alongside, also with an ensuite.  So, whether it’s a break away for two or a family retreat, The Cowshed is ideal! The ensuites are a lovely addition, each fitted with a WC, wash basin, shower or bath with an overhead shower, shaver point and soft white towels. 

Relax in the Countryside, Escape and Unwind in Idyllic Leicestershire 

The Cowshed is one of seven welcoming holiday homes at Upper Rectory Farm Cottages.  This is a gorgeous rural location, overlooking rolling fields and bright skies, perfect for a relaxing rural retreat break. It’s a lovely space to relax in, and there’s plenty to enjoy off site too! If you’re an avid cyclist or walker, then you’ll be in paradise with the routes around the National Forest and stunning sites such as Ashby Canal and Shackerstone steam railway.  For shopping and eating out, the charming historic market town of Ashby-de-la-Zouch is less than 7 miles away.

Nearby there are several other fascinating places for a day out; visit Calke Abbey and Lichfield Cathedral or Tamworth castle. The National memorial arboretum is another fantastic place to see! Or take the family on a day out to the National Space Centre or Twycross Zoo. There’s plenty to experience and an array of memories to create here at The Cowshed!
