Ashby de la Zouch is an ancient market town and its castle is a great day out for the family. Ashby Castle was originally a manor house in the 12th century and was deemed a castle by the 15th century. Today’s visitors can take a guided audio tour and enjoy climbing to the top of the tower for tremendous views or navigating through the underground passage created in the Civil War.
