About 19 High St. Townhouse
This three bedroom town house is a is a very smart holiday home situated in the High Street of north Ferriby, a town on the Humber. The property is arranged over three floors and is part of a terraced row of equally elegant houses. It stands next to a Methodist Church so expect quiet, except on Sunday mornings when you might hear a little music or hymn singing.Despite this being the High Street, the property is not surrounded by shops, it is in a residential area. There is one designated parking place on the street and also a garage at the rear of the house. The nearest supermarket is a short walk further down the High Street. The accommodation is modern and designed for self catering holidays. Easy to clean oak flooring appears throughout the ground floor. The bedrooms upstairs are carpeted.
The living room is a nicely proportioned bright room thanks to several dormer windows in the roof. It is an L shaped room, one section of which is furnished as a dining room. An oak dining table and six chairs provide somewhere for a group of six to sit for meals. Plants, pictures and soft furnishings add extra colour and appeal. The television is wall mounted and features a wall mounted modern electric fire beneath.
The oak theme is continued into the kitchen where fitted oak cupboards cover three walls. A built in electric oven and gas hob will enable you to cook for your family during your holiday. There is also a fridge freezer, a dishwasher and a washing machine to make light of the housework.
The property has Wi-Fi so that all members of the family are able to keep up with the latest news on their phones and talk to their friends.
Leading from the hallway is a cloakroom with WC. Stairs lead up to the 1st and 2nd floor. On the first floor you will find the family bathroom which has a proper full-length bath with a hand held shower over it. This room is fully tiled. The two bedrooms on this floor are both doubles and furnished with a dressing table some drawers and hanging storage.
Take the stairs up to the next floor to find the third twin bedroom which has its own en-suite shower room. This bedroom is L-shaped and features areas under the eaves for two single beds. It could be an ideal room for teenagers who might like to play their music loudly and have a little privacy.
Patio doors from the living room open out into a paved courtyard garden where there is a small aluminium garden set for anyone who wishes to sit outside in the sunshine. One dog is welcome at this property and the enclosed back yard is safe place for it to snooze.
The town location means that there are shops, café’s, restaurants, including pizza delivery and pubs within walking distance. The town has a railway station which may suit anyone who prefers to come by rail rather than drive. Any keen walkers may wish to walk part of the Yorkshire Wolds way which starts beside the Humber river.
The Humber bridge is a must see. You may wish to take a walk around the Humber Bridge Country Park at the same time. This may be an unusual holiday destination but it is most convenient for several interesting places to visit in East Yorkshire, including the coastal towns of Withernsea Flamborough and Bridlington.
The City of York is always brilliant for a day out and lies a little to the northwest. The Lincolnshire Wolds are due south over the Humber Bridge and beyond them are Woodhall Spa, Skegness and Lincoln. This would be an excellent holiday destination for any family that feels that beaches are much overrated and they would prefer interesting places to visit in East Yorkshire.
