5 bedroom pet-friendly holiday house close to Lake District National Park
Looking for a rural retreat holiday conveniently close to the Lake District National Park and also the coast? If so, this warm and welcoming self-catering farmhouse could be just what you’ve been looking for.
With 5 bedrooms, up to 10 can be accommodated and being pet-friendly up to 2 pet dogs are welcome. Set in idyllic rural Kirksanton surrounded by fields and pastures, this holiday home is located on the western edge of the Lake District National Park which is a wonderland for lovers of nature and country pursuits. The accommodation is arranged over three floors and comprises a lounge (seats 6) with open fire, a snug, a kitchen with dining area (seats 8), family bathroom with both bath and shower, shower room and five bedrooms. Of the five bedrooms, there are 3 double bedrooms along with one twin bedroom which leads through to another double bedroom. Outside there is a small garden with lawn along with outdoor furniture and patio.
There is so much to see and do on a self-catering holiday in the Lake District National Park. Take in the beautiful landscape walking nearby Black Coombe or scale the UK's highest mountain Scafell Pike for a bird's eye view. Take a trip on the National Trust's Victorian steam powered yacht gondola on lovely Lake Coniston, followed by a walk through the woodland garden of painter John Ruskin. Binoculars in hand head for the UK's largest natural lake, Windermere, an all year magnet for thousands of birds and close to the National Trust's mock gothic Wray Castle. In nearby Hawkshead be inspired by the National Trust's Hill Top, the former home of Beatrix Potter. A little further away in Penrith is inspiration for gardeners in the form of an English Rose Walk with over 100 old English roses at Dalemain Mansion's Historic Gardens and the herb collection at Acorn Bank House.This is a great all season base for exploring the Lake District National Park.
