Barrow-in-Furness is a large seaport town in Cumbria and an interesting place to take a break in self-catering holiday accommodation. If you’re into wild animals and their conservation, it’s an enjoyable trip out to South Lakes Wild Animal Park, where you’ll encounter tigers, lions and rhinos. Animal and bird lovers will also enjoy going to Walney Island, accessed via a bridge from Barrow Docks. This island contains two nature reserves, namely the North Nature Reserve and the South Nature Reserve.
Hollywood Park Retail and Leisure Complex contains Cumbria’s largest cinema plus stores, restaurants and an indoor play area. Also in the town, you’ll find karting and tenpin bowling. All in all, Barrow in Furness has plenty to offer for a self-catering holiday.
