A fabulous two bedroom country cottage near the village of St. Clears in Carmarthen, south Wales.
In a rural area but not remote or secluded, this holiday cottage would be a delight to any people choosing to stay here. Honey toned oak floors grace all rooms, there are feature stone walls, exposed rafters and beams that add up to a most attractive holiday home.
Furnished with love and care, the split-level accommodation consists of a white Shaker kitchen with oak worktops that has a butler sink, integrated dishwasher and other necessary appliances that make self-catering a pleasure. An oak dining table set and sufficient crockery, cutlery and glassware is provided to make sure that four guests can enjoy their wining and dining without any trouble.
A few steps lead up to the smart sitting area in the eaves which is furnished with sofas, TV and a woodburner. Skylights allow in extra light in addition to the main window.
Sleeping quarters are on the lower ground floor. Attractive modern décor in calm neutral colours makes the bedrooms inviting and sleep inducing. One bedroom contains a king-size bed, the other, more compact, a double. The bathroom has a full size bath with a shower over it and the usual WC and wash basin.
A pleasant place to sit and enjoy a barbecue is in the front garden. The grounds surrounding the cottage are communal and shared with adjacent holidaymakers.
The village of St. Clears is four miles away from the cottage, so a car is definitely needed. The village stands on one of the tributaries of the River Taf as it flows out to the Bristol Channel. The countryside is cross-crossed with rivers and streams making it a wonderful location for a birdwatching holiday.
There is a number of tourist attractions in this part of Carmarthen; Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo would suit guests with young children and the Oakwood Theme Park all ages.
A day trip to the Pembrokeshire National Park is a must although the various seaside towns nearby may just be too attractive and convenient to make the effort to go elsewhere.
