Also at Dollar is Castle Campbell, an impressively located historic castle that sits high above the Ochil Hills. This historic building is worth a visit for the views alone, as well as for learning about the fascinating history surrounding the fortress.
Walks and hikes can also be enjoyed in scenic Dollar Glen, a beautiful woodland that promises stunning scenery throughout. When exploring the area don’t miss the King’s Seat, one of the highest peaks in the Ochil Hills, a beautiful place to look out over the landscape. The walk up can sometimes be tricky due to weather but the walk promises to be spectacular with woodland trails and foaming rivers and is a chance to see nature at her finest.
Other good walks can be enjoyed around Loch Leven and in the Lomond Hill Regional Park. Keen golfers will want to enjoy a game or two at nearby Gleneagles, just 7 miles away.
