The village is situated on the road from Ennis to Kilrush and some of the surrounding villages include Cooraclare, Cree and Lissycasey. The village is quiet and pretty and is surrounded by beautiful countryside. It is a great base for a quiet relaxed country cottage holiday where you can explore the surrounding area.

Advice on Cottage Holidays in Kilmihil

Lisseycasey is only about 15 minutes drive from the village of Kilmihil and is often referred to as a good staging point for exploring both the capital of Ennis and the rugged west of Clare.  The village is also home to the famous Fanny O’Deas which is one of the oldest pubs in Ireland and well worth a visit when you fancy a cool drink or evening meal.

A bit further afield you will find the town of Kilrush, the capital of west Clare. This bustling market town can provide you with some fantastic places of interest to visit and exciting things to do such as a dolphin watching boat trip, a guided walking tour, fishing or cycle hire. You will also find plenty of delightful pubs and restaurants as well as some great arts, culture and heritage sights such as Vandeleur Walled Gardens, The Butter Market Gallery and Kilrush Heritage Centre.  Whether you need to find a romantic cottage for two or a large house to rent for a large group we hope you find good quality self-catering accommodation in or near Kilmihil that meets your requirements.

Book a Kilmihil cottage and look forward to discovering some of the best of Clare on holiday.
