Exhall for Shakespeare’s Country: Have you been to Exhall? Do feel free to share your experience of a holiday in Exhall, with visitors to Country Cottages Online. If you are looking for a holiday in the countryside close to Stratford Upon Avon and Shakespeare’s Country, Exhall could be a great choice. Exhall is a village in Warwickshire situated near to the town of Alcester. The oldest building in the local area is St. Giles Church, with its roots going back to the 12th century. Whilst on a self-catering break, the amenities of Alcester are convenient and several events are organized there. Exhall is also about six miles from the wonderful historical town of Stratford-upon-Avon.
As the birthplace of William Shakespeare, Stratford’s Shakespeare related attractions and events are magnets for the world’s tourists and the town is one of England’s top visitor attractions. You can see one of the great bard’s plays at the town’s Royal Shakespeare Theatre. Visitors also like to stroll by the Canal Basin to see the colourful narrow boats and barges. You can book a cruise down the canal with dinner included. Going to the races is a pleasant day out for the family and Stratford Racecourse hosts races between March and November, with picnic spaces and children’s entertainment in the summertime.
