Family Fun in Hatton: Looking to discover some of the best of Warwickshire on a cottage holiday? If so, Hatton could be the place to stay. With tree-lined streets, Hatton is a Warwickshire village set in glorious countryside about four miles from the town of Warwick. It is also just six miles from the town of Royal Leamington Spa and 10 miles from Stratford upon Avon. For a rural break conveniently close to Shakespeare’s Country, Hatton has to be a top choice.
This location is wonderful for families on holiday and there is lots to discover on a cottage break in this area of Warwickshire. One of the main attractions is Hatton Country World. It’s advertised as two attractions in one, with a shopping village and an adventure farm. Victorian farmyard buildings house independent shops and you can browse for antiques and discount clothes. Kids love the farmyard animals, shows, funfair rides and adventure play area. Events are organised during seasonal celebrations. Hatton is also known for its set of 21 locks found on the Grand Union Canal. This once busy route for transporting goods has given way to leisure and visitors can follow a family wildlife trail and have picnics. Two restored working boats from the old days are often moored along Hatton Wharf.
