Wantage is an Oxfordshire market town located some 15 miles south west of the historical university city of Oxford.  Wantage also benefits from being close to the Oxfordshire and Wiltshire border.  Being located in the west of Oxfordshire, Wantage could be an excellent choice for a cottage holiday for those who want to discover some of the best of Oxfordshire, Wiltshire and the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The thriving market town of Wantage is situated in the south of Oxfordshire, about 3 miles north of the Ridgeway. The local Vale and Downland Museum tells of the history of the area. There is a statue of King Alfred in the market square to commemorate the famous 'burning of the cakes' in Wantage. A street market is held on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The F1 Williams factory is just up the road at Grove.
