Further south from here is Warkworth with its charming historical streets. Inland, within a 20 mile drive you can be amongst the stunning scenery of the Northumberland National Park which is a great place to visit on a cottage break. Take note though, the car parks for accessing the park are not free so do remember to bring plenty of change if visiting.
