Pony trekking and cycling are available nearby in Hamsterley Forest, whilst a wonderful steam train ride on the Weardale Railway offers an exciting and memorable way to enjoy the local scenery (in season). The historic city of Durham only 17 miles away is well worth a visit for its Norman Castle, outstanding cathedral and lovely river boat trips, whilst Newcastle, a slightly longer drive away, is also an excellent choice for shopping and fascinating architecture. Other attractions found nearby include the Beamish Living History Museum, Barnard Castle and Killhope Lead Mining Centre.

New Hall Farm is situated 1 mile out of the Dales village of Wolsingham, ideally situated for touring all of the North-East. Locally there are many local attractions including walking, swimming, cycling and pony-trekking in Hamsterley forest. Within easy reach of Durham, Barnard Castle, Hexham, Raby Castle, Beamish and Newcastle to name a few.
The Farmhouse has oak wood flooring throughout and is heated by oil central heating. There is ample parking.
The recently converted Pig House boasts an all glass gable end providing breathtaking views over Weardale. There is an open plan living/dining/kitchen with range oven and American style fridge freezer. Also on the ground floor are two en-suite double bedrooms and a family bathroom, on a mezzannine over the kitchen area is a double bedroom which enjoys the views from the all glass gable end. The Pig House can accommodate 6 guests and has a private, enclosed garden with garden furniture, a small stream and footbridge. The Pig House has central heating and a log burning stove. There is a large yard for ample parking.
The Pig House is also situatated on the working farm and is surrounded by beautiful countryside. This lovely property has access to all the same local attractions and amenities as New Hall Farmhouse, meaning there is plenty for guests to do during their time here.
