2 Bedroom Pet-Friendly Character Cottage by the River Teign in the heart of Teignmouth with River Views

This charming Grade II listed riverside cottage in Teignmouth, Devon boasts river views from a number of the rooms and is a very memorable place to stay.  With a hexagonally shaped exterior and a history in collecting tolls to cross the river, this is a fascinating and quirky holiday home.  Pet-friendly, up to 2 well behaved dogs are welcome.

There is plenty to occupy a family or four friends in Teignmouth. Intersperse beach time with a stroll around the Arts Quarter, maybe pick up a gift or two. The Teign Heritage; Teignmouth & Shaldon Museum holds original memorabilia from the house; a keeper's lamp and a list of tolls. Browse the shops then sample the local fare.

The cottage has a nautical colour scheme that nicely reflects its location, and has been lovingly furnished with vintage furniture to complement its heritage. It has gas central heating throughout and a warming electric fire in the sitting room.

Inside this 2 Bedroom Riverside Holiday House in Teignmouth

•    The sitting room is spacious and includes a choice of seating, including a sofa bed, and two armchairs, all arranged around a large wall mounted TV.

•    Eat out or stay in. A tasty meal can be prepared using the electric oven and induction hob, in the white kitchen that has been cleverly accented with pretty blue vintage style appliances. Eat in the diner area or in the large lawned garden.

•    There is a stylish recently refurbished family bathroom with freestanding bath, walk in shower, basin and WC,

There are two cheerful, double bedrooms:

•    A four-poster resides in a cheery yellow room with welcoming, complementary white and yellow flowered linen.

•    The second bedroom has been decorated in a pretty blue colour and has marine patterned linen and draws its inspiration from the lovely views, clearly appreciated from the window.

Outside, there is a rear enclosed garden, ideal for pets.

To the front, there is also a garden where you can dine alfresco or sit out and soak up the enviable river views.

Enjoy walks by the river or take a stroll down to Shaldon Beach.  The South West Coastal Path can be joined close by the property too.

Two well-behaved dogs welcome, but no smoking.   Parking on adjoining streets or close-by car park. Good Housekeeping bond of £250.
