Cornwall is a beach holiday hot spot in the UK. Although difficult to get to for some people, many continue to drive hundreds of miles to spend their summer break in the south west of England. There is a high number of places to stay, including many holiday cottages, log cabins and apartments. Nowhere in Cornwall is far from the coast although the quality of beaches varies. Some people think it is worth making the trek to St. Ives which has three broad sandy beaches or Sennan Cove where there is a wide curve of white sand in the bay. The powerful waves on the stretch of beaches along from Newquay attract hundreds of holidaymakers who want to surf and they all need somewhere to stay. One of our personal favourites is the sweep of bay that encompasses the bay where St Michael's Mount stands and has a string of character villages along the coast: Mousehole, Penzance, Praa Sands, Porthleven, Kynance Cove.
North Cornwall can be fairly busy because of the drive entailed to go further south. There are however, beaches, coves and craggy nooks that suit all kinds of people. Dog owners can find small undeveloped beaches where no one is going to object to their dogs on the sands or in the sea.
It is easy to find somewhere to rent for a week’s holiday or short break in Cornwall. A variety of accommodation around the coast has an apartment, house or pine lodge for all pockets.
