South Woodham Ferrers is 11 miles away from Chelmsford, 30 minutes from Southend and within travelling distance of London and Cambridge for a day trip.

The house features an open-plan lounge cum kitchen, utility room and a ground floor toilet. Upstairs there are two double bedrooms and a bathroom. A neat gravel garden is outside.

The house is called The Herons because of the herons seen flying overhead to the river.

The South Woodham town centre is within easy walking distance where there is a good selection of Indian, Chinese and other restaurants, a 24 hour Asda superstore, a small range of shops and various leisure facilities including an indoor swimming pool, gyms, tennis courts, badminton courts, snooker hall, park with skateboard ramps, and library. The house is available for flexible lets from a few days to several weeks.

Southend has a centennial Carnival this year during August with floats, competitions, a spectacular firework display and many other events.

During August, Chelmsford (11 miles away) hosts the annual V Festival and an outdoor Musical Spectacular with a firework finale. Bring picnic and own wine.
