There is a pier, ten pin bowling, ice skating, a Seaview Centre and plenty to do if it rains. The Westridge Golf Centre has a 9 hole course and a floodlit golf range for a spot of practice.
The public bus service is frequent and reliable. It offers the opportunity to explore the island without having to worry about parking and negotiating country lanes which although quiet out of season can be quite busy during the summer holidays.
