Builth Wells
Builth Wells is a delightful traditional Welsh market town on the River Wye which has many historical connections. With the river running through it and surrounded by beautiful countryside, this town could be a good choice for a cottage holiday. The town originally developed around a castle and the castle mound still remains and dominates the town to this day. There are loads of attractions including an excellent range of shops offering wonderful local produce and crafts. There is a swimming pool, tennis courts and a large play area and riverside walk for the energetic. There is also a cinema and theatre. Enjoy browsing for country cottages and self-catering cottages in and near Builth Wells.
The town still has a farmers’ livestock market every Friday.
