Nairn is a seaside town officially within the Scottish Highlands region in an area known as Nairnshire.  This coastal town is located just 16 miles from Inverness with its famous attractions of Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle.  There are many attractions in and around Nairn for country cottage holidays.

Nairn has a quaint harbour and a blue flag award winning beach.  Enjoy walks along the unspoilt sandy beach.  Other good places for walks include Ord hill which is a local hotspot for spotting buzzards and for woodland walks.  If you enjoy golf you will be interested to know that Nairn has two championship golf courses.  The free car parking in Nairn helps with making car parking relatively easy.
