High quality 3 bedroom holiday cottage enjoying a secluded setting bordering the Duff House conservation area and woodland, just 2 miles from Banff and the scenic Moray coast.  This stylish holiday home was originally a folly for magnificent Duff House and was also a toll house for the Bridge of Alvah.  The immediate area abounds with wildlife such as deer, foxes, badgers, otters, pine martins, buzzards and our resident red squirrels, rabbits, pheasants and woodpeckers.

Popular activities in the local area include fishing, walking and golfing. 

Craig Cottage is excellent for keen anglers as the property is just a stone's throw away from our salmon and trout beat.  Guests staying at the property and fishing enjoy use of quad bikes during their stay to easily get to and from the fishing area.

At the property is a south facing sheltered suntrap with spacious patio area, garden furniture and barbecue.  The garden overlooking the woods and countryside.

The cottage grounds, while beautiful all year round, come alive in May and June as does the whole woodland when the rhododendron borders are in full bloom, very romantic.

Craig Cottage enjoys a tranquil peaceful setting yet is well placed for exploring beautiful Aberdeenshire and further afield the Highlands of Scotland for days out.

Indoors the cottage is finished to an excellent standard with everything you could possibly need for a most enjoyable stay.

Kitchen

It is a modern very well equipped kitchen with all Siemens appliances. An attractive glass table comfortably seats six.

Lounge

You will find a luxurious 3 piece suite,a wood burning stove (logs supplied), 37" Panasonic plasma wall hung tv, Sky satelite (sports package), dvd player with dvd library, award winning hi fi system and even a laptop with wireless broadbandn Internet.

Bedrooms

There is 1 double bedroom on the ground floor and 2 twin bedrooms upstairs with plenty storage, bedside tables, lamps and travel alarm clocks. Wonderful comfortable beds with high quality matresses await with cosy duvets and throws. Each bedroom has Sony lcd TVs with Sky piped to them and a DVD player.All excellent quality bedding is included.

Bathrooms

There are 2 bathrooms both fully tiled and fitted to a good standard. The upstairs bathroom has a bath and seperate shower and downstairs there is a shower only. All excellent quality towels are included.

Child and Baby friendly

Having 4 kids ourselves we understand that travelling with children can be extremely stressful.  Our range of child and baby equipment is all new and of good quality and for rainy days the cottage has plenty to keep them amused with games, Sky tv. dvd players, laptop, playstation 2 with games and also footballs and cricket set for outside.

Welcome Package

There will be a welcome pack waiting with coffee, tea, bread, milk, butter, sugar, bacon and some cleaning up essentials including fairy, bleach and dishwasher tablets

Shopping and newspapers can be delivered to your door.  Airport collections can be arranged as can cleaning and catering.

The cottage comes with 1 free rod for fishing our Montcoffer beat during February, March and April.

Please note that when you turn off the A97 at Deer Park Farm, the cottage is 1 mile down a private single hard track road.  Please drive very carefully as this road is part of the walk from Duff House out to the Bridge and because of the beauty of this spot it regularly has walkers, and as darkness comes so do the wildlife.  Deer regularly cross to drink at the river and badgers, foxes, rabbits among others cross at times so please drive very carefully
