When you are staying in a self-catered cottage, it does not mean that you are obliged to cook all the time, it simply means that you have a choice. There may very well be an excellent local food pub that it would be a shame not to dine in and sample a real taste of Exmoor.
Even if you are a superb cook, it is always interesting to find out about regional recipes and try something new. Or, you may just feel particularly sociable one evening and decide to investigate the range of West Country ciders or ales. It all adds up to a very good holiday on Exmoor.
All of the self-catered cottages and houses shown have a local pub and the distance from your accommodation to the pub should be shown somewhere.
