The Holiday Home: About Orchard Yurt

Romantic Sleeps 2 Yurt in Somerset Countryside

Looking to take a quirky break with your partner this year? If so, this sleeps 2 yurt in Exmoor could be the perfect place to cuddle up. With a window in the ceiling, this is a truly romantic yurt where you can look up and see the stars at night.

Inside the yurt is kitted out like a luxury bedroom with a real double bed and chest of drawers. There are also comfy bean bag chairs and the warming woodburner will keep you warm and cosy.

There is an outdoor kitchen (housed under an oak-framed gazebo) with a 2 ring gas hob, kettle and camping fridge. There is no running water at the yurt but drinking water is on tap at the nearby shared facilities building where there is a washing up area.

The shower room facilities are in the facilities building where there is a lockable shower room with flushable WC, soft towels, and complimentary toiletries for your own personal use.

Dog-friendly, you can bring 2 small dogs or 1 medium sized dog at a charge of £10 each per stay.

Although there is no Wifi, 4G signal is good with most mobile networks.

Next to the yurt is a decked area with dining table and chairs for dining alfresco and soaking up the setting. There is also an outdoor kitchenette for a spot of alfresco cooking.

There is also a firepit with BBQ grill, plus two camping chairs so you can enjoy the very best of glamping here.

Also outdoors is where you can find your private wood fired hot tub, for long relaxing soaks on holiday.

The yurt is surrounded by plenty of lawned space, but this area is not fenced.

This yurt is set in the idyllic Porlock Vale area. All around is beautiful Exmoor National Park which is a great area for walking, hiking, cycling, wildlife watching and more. For days out by the seaside, the vibrant coastal town of Minehead with its beautiful beach is only around 10 minutes’ drive away.
