Cosy Country Cottage in the Southern Yorkshire Dales
Looking for a welcoming holiday cottage to rent in the Yorkshire Dales for a walking holiday, or perhaps just a tranquil rural break? This 3 bedroom stone-built country cottage set in the countryside of the Yorkshire Dales National Park on a working farm could be perfect.
Sleeps 5 Rural Retreat near Malham
This farm cottage is in the heart of sheep farming country in Malhamdale. Built of stone in a traditional Yorkshire style, it offers good quality holiday accommodation for up to five people. Although rural, there is WiFi Internet.
On the ground floor is a comfy lounge with a warming open fire, a reading room/snug, a well equipped kitchen/diner and a utility room with washing machine. The accommodation is centrally heated and this is included in the weekly rate. Logs for the fire are extra.
The bedrooms are all upstairs - two double bedrooms and one single. There is a family bathroom.
If you plan to stay for a walking holiday, there is storage for boots and outdoor wear, also bicycles.
This property is family-friendly for children aged 8 or older. Sorry no pets permitted.
Ideally Located for Discovering the Yorkshire Dales on Holiday
Whether for a walking holiday, a cycling holiday or a sightseeing getaway, this holiday home is well located for discovering some of the best of the Yorkshire Dales National Park on a break away.
Many walkers alternate hikes with days out visiting the tourist attractions in the Dales. The nearby village of Malham is an extremely pretty place and worth exploring. A stream runs through the village and there are a couple of pubs and tea shops to visit, as well as Malham Cove and the limestone pavement (one of the most famous sights in the Dales).
Rest your weary legs for a while in the back garden on sunny days, either in the glazed sun house or on the lawn. The garden is a tranquil spot to rest in between days out exploring the Dales or a place to eat al fresco.

Top Attractions: It's about an hour's walk to Malham Cove or ten minutes by car. Other places worth visiting in the Dales are White Scar Caves and Malham Tarn. A trip on the Settle Carlisle Railway is a joy during your holiday. Enjoy the views the easy way and give your feet a rest. Settle is good for shopping. The cottage is within easy reach of York, Harrogate and The Lake District
