Excellent On-site Leisure Facilities
On site leisure facilities at Luccombe Farm include a heated indoor swimming pool, a sauna, a games room, a tennis court and a children’s play area. There is also a riding school at the farm, as well as opportunities for children to meet the farm animals which include chicken, ducks, alpacas, donkeys, sheep and goats.
The Cake House Sleeps 4
The Cake House is a charming 2 bedroom barn conversion which sleeps up to 4 people and welcomes dogs. With accommodation all on the one floor, this welcoming cottage is ideal for families with young children or those who prefer to avoid stairs. With beams and lovely views to the south over a small lake, the Cake House has plenty to recommend it.

Relax and Unwind on Holiday near Milton Abbas
For those looking to relax and unwind, with onsite facilities such as a swimming pool, sauna, gym and tennis court, Luccombe Farm is a great place to stay. Families will find it a great choice too with a children’s play area on site, as well as a games room and table tennis. There are also some lovely walks within the grounds as well as opportunities to cycle. For those who enjoy horse riding, a small discount is available for guests.
Also available by prior arrangement (and at extra cost) is clay pigeon shooting on the farm and dry and wet trout fly fishing off-site.
Luccombe Farm is within walking distance of the historic thatched village, Milton Abbas where there is a historical abbey, a post office, a farm shop and an excellent gastro pub.

Making a booking: Payment of a non-refundable deposit of £100, together with our confirmation, secures your booking. Your balance is due thirty days before arrival. Security Deposit: At the time of booking we ask our guests for a security deposit of £150, pre-authorised against your card. This is in case there is any damage to the property during your stay and in return for your cottage and swimming pool keys upon departure. The money is simply reserved and then released afterwards if there is no damage. Check-in from 4pm, unless otherwise agreed. Check-out 10am (unless you are departing on a Sunday in which case this is extended, free of charge, until 4pm). Pets: We accept pets in The Granary, Cake House, Sty and Stables. We make a small charge of £5/night/pet (with a maximum of 2 pets per cottage).
Rural Dorset is one of the most peaceful, beautiful and genuinely unspoilt areas in England. There is so much to see and do and we are always happy to advise. We also maintain a large library of leaflets in our Games Room. Our suggested days out could include a trip to the worlds largest Tank Museum in Bovington, Poole and Sandbanks for windsurfing and boating trips around the worlds second largest natural harbour. Explore Brownsea Island owned by the National Trust, famous for its bird sanctuary. Visit the Isle of Purbeck, perhaps to include Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door or Wareham, Corfe Castle and a trip on the famous Steam Railway to Swanage.

Recommended Places to Eat Out: The Hambro Arms Pub: Is our Milton Abbas local, and just a 10-15 minute walk across our fields (or 5 min drive). They have a childrens menu and Dorset Cream Tea is served every afternoon for £5.50. Dogs are allowed in the bar and not the restaurant area. The Oak at Dewlish: This traditional very popular dog friendly Dorset Village Pub is a free house, serving a good range of guest beers from the local area. It is a 16 minute drive away (7 miles) via Winterborne Whitechurch and Milborne St Andrew. Or, for the more adventurous, it is a 4.7 mile cross country walk away (c. 1.5-2hrs). The Crown Hotel: The oldest inn in Dorset, in the Georgian town of Blandford, the Crown Hotel is open daily for food. There is a childrens menu and well-behaved dogs are welcome in the bar and outdoor areas. It is a 15 minute drive via Winterborne Whitechurch. The Royal Oak: A family run and owned dog friendly freehouse in Milborne St Andrew. There is a childrens play area in the garden and we have been told by a few guests that the carvery is very good! (Every Friday from 6pm and every Sunday from midday.) It is a 10 minute drive via Winterborne Whitechurch The Yellow Bicycle Cafe: Is located in the heart of Blandford Forum. Delicious homemade food, great tea and coffee. It is a 15 minute drive via Winterborne Whitechurch. (Closed Sunday & Monday.) The Blue Vinny: Village pub/restaurant with a garden in Puddletown, offering locally sourced dishes with a Mediterranean spin. It is a 15 minute drive via Winterborne Whitechurch and Milborne St Andrew (on the road to Dorchester). The Old Granary: On Wareham Town Quay with views over the Purbeck hills, this is the perfect place to enjoy a meal, afternoon tea, or just a drink. Wareham is a pretty, riverside town and one of the few remaining Saxon walled towns in England. It is a 30 minute drive away via Winterborne Whitechurch and Bere Regis. The Italian Kitchen: Also on Wareham Town Quay, this restaurant is a must-visit for any lover of Italian cuisine. The Greyhound: Is situated in the heart of Winterborne Kingston, on the main road through the village. Modern British cuisine is served, prepared daily using fresh locally sourced produce. It is a 12 minute drive via Winterborne Whitechurch. The Botany Bay Inne: Is a family and dog friendly pub with a fantastic traditional country pub menu. The Sunday Carvery is very popular. It lies on the A31 and is a 17 minute drive via Winterborne Whitechurch and Winterborne Kingston.

Milton Abbas is a charming and quaint thatch village within walking distance (10 minutes across our fields), and is often featured on postcards showing rural Dorset at its most idyllic. You can find the 15th Century Milton Abbey, a post office, the fantastic farm shop, Steeptonbill, as well as an excellent family friendly pub serving gourmet meals, The Hambro Arms.
