Top Attractions: The Colmer Estate sits in the South Hams district of South Devon which is a designated area of Outstanding Beauty. The Estate is in a rural setting with an approximate twenty minute car drive to the coast (Bigbury on Sea) and approximately a thirty minute drive to the southern edge of Dartmoor. The main city of Plymouth is about 40 minutes away where you can visit the National Aquarium and also the Barbican and The Hoe famous for where Sir Francis Drake played bowls and watched the Spanish Armada arrive in Tudor times. Bigbury on Sea is the main surf beach on the south coast and where you can organise surf school and other water sport activities. Salcolme - the well known, very picuresque town with harbour and beaches is approximately 20 minutes drive as is Kingsbridge and Modbury. These are two lovely market towns and worth a visit.
Recommended Places to Visit: Salcombe. Bigbury on Sea National Aquarium in Plymouth
Recommended Places to Eat Out: The White Hart at Modbury. California Cross (10 minutes walk). The Ship at Noss Mayo. The California Cross is the closest to the cottage.
