If you are looking for a holiday cottage on or near the coast plus have a much loved pooch that you want to take on holiday with you, take a look at the dog friendly coastal cottages below. As always, let the cottage owner know about your pet in advance. Many make an extra charge when dogs are coming on holiday too. The best dog-friendly coastal cottage holidays are in remote areas such as Northern Scotland, North England and to a lesser degree in Wales.

The south coast of England coastal paths are available in sections although work is being done in creating an unbroken path all around the English coast. The Cleveland Way currently skirts the north York Moors National Park. It's a beautiful walk to do in the summer when the heather is at it's radiant pink best. There are lots of pet-friendly holiday cottages to book on the Yorkshire coast - there is sure to be one that would please you.
