This rural lodge with hot tub, in the hamlet of Bontuchel, near Cyffylliog. North Wales is ideal for a romantic break.

The holiday home is ideal for those who would like to explore the open countryside from within. This one bedroom property is self-contained and located in the grounds of a farm.  Sorry no pets permitted.

Enjoy beautiful views of the countryside from the comfort of the open-plan kitchen, dining and sitting areas. Rustle up a meal at the end of the day on the electric cooker or put a ready meal in the microwave, be lazy you're on holiday. Later put the crockery in the dishwasher than settle down with a beer in front of the Smart TV and enjoy the warmth of the woodburning stove, or better still take a soak in the hot tub under the stars, there's nobody watching.

The sofa doubles as a bed for two and another two guests can dream happy dreams in the king-size bedroom.

At the end of the day, step into the walk-in shower and throw your washing into the washer/dryer.

In under 50 minutes you can reach the unforgettable Snowdonia National Park, but remember it is huge so just choose a small area. There are castles, lakes, waterfalls and Mount Snowdon. But you don't have to go so far because there is plenty in Ruthin 2 miles away; the Gaol Museum, Nantclwyd Historic House and Gardens, or if golf is your thing, there is Ruthin-Pwllglas Driving Range.
