The Anchorage

The Anchorage is a charming detached holiday cottage located on a dramatic clifftop, one mile from Cockburnspath and eight miles from Dunbar, offering stunning sea views on Scotland’s picturesque North Sea coast. Accommodating up to eight guests, this three-storey property features four bedrooms, including two first-floor doubles—one with an en-suite bathroom—and a 2’6” twin. The second floor hosts a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room. Additional amenities include two shower rooms on the first floor and a convenient cloakroom on the ground floor.

The ground floor of The Anchorage boasts a fully equipped kitchen with a dining area, a utility room, and a spacious sitting room with an open fire, ideal for cosy evenings. The sunroom, complete with a woodburning stove, offers year-round enjoyment, while the dining room provides access to a decked rear area, perfect for outdoor relaxation. The property's front features a lawned garden, and there is ample off-road parking for two cars.

Located just a short walk from the stony beach below, The Anchorage offers immediate access to the stunning Scottish coastline and the Southern Upland Way, Scotland’s longest official Long Distance Path, which ends at Cockburnspath. For a wider selection of amenities, the town of Dunbar, eight miles away, offers pubs and regular train services to Edinburgh. The spectacular Belhaven Bay with its famous beach is located just north of Dunbar, providing more options for exploration and enjoyment along Scotland’s beautiful coastline.
