If you want to have a hugely successful family break near Bideford in northwest Devon, rent a holiday home that has a swimming pool. Most children adore a pool that they can swim in and play for hours on end. The opportunity to swim whenever you feel like it, is also pleasing to most adults. It is an easy way to relax and become fitter on holiday.

The riverside town of Bideford is very close to the coast and Westward Ho! Any holidaymakers planning to bring their dogs with them would probably want to walk part of the coastal path and marvel at the sea views. There is also the Northam Burrows Country Park which backs onto the beach, for more walks and picnics. It is a pleasant place to stay with plenty of places to visit and explore along the north Devon coast.
